LoL Worlds 2018 Daily Update October 12, 2018

Three days of Main Event competition at LoL Worlds are over and the four incoming favorites have seized control of the tournament. Flash Wolves, Royal Never Give Up, KT Rolster, and Invictus Gaming (along with play-in star EDwards Gaming) are the only remaining undefeated teams.
Given the lack of upsets today, the projected stands have not moved as much. With its superior Elo, Fnatic is expected to be the second seed out of Group D. Gen.G is back in the driver’s seat for the second seed in the Group of Death after their win over Cloud 9. That group is living up to its same with all of three non-RNG teams having lost to one another and Royal Never Give Up.
Group B is off tomorrow and Groups A, C, and D finish their first round robins through their groups. KT and ED will face off for the top spot in Group C. StatXP sees KT as the slight favorite, but its close. The winner of that match will be in the driver’s seat in Group D, setting them up to avoid a difficult quarterfinal game against the winner of another group. In Group A, Afreeca Freecs can erase the taste of their upset loss to G2 Esports with a win over Phong Vu Buffalo and an expected G2 to loss to StatXP favorite Flash Wolves. If PVB can continue their hot streak and upset AF (we give that only a 14% chance), then maybe the Vietnamese team can shock the world and make it out of Group A!
